Southwestern BDC sets Business Foundations Program

Openings still are available in the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center’s nine-session program focusing on how to start and build a business on solid ground.

Participants can save time and avoid costly mistakes by learning to grow a successful business and write business plans to access funding in the Business Foundations Program, scheduled to begin with a session from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, at the Business Development Center in North Bend.

The program format includes a combination of twice-monthly evening group meetings featuring guest speakers, one-on-one advising and access to other BDC resources. Participants will have an opportunity to share ideas with other entrepreneurs and new business owners, as well as learn to determine the feasibility of a business idea, to research markets and develop sufficient business and financial management skills to grow successful businesses.

A registration fee of $150 covers the complete program and materials for up to two representatives from each business venture. For more information or to register, those interested can call the Business Development Center at 756-6866.
