Magical evening of wine and chocolate planned at OCCI

The Oregon Coast Culinary Institute Baking and Pastry Arts Club at Southwestern Oregon Community College will be hosting a semi-formal evening event focusing on two hot Valentine’s Day commodities – chocolate and wine.

The club is preparing hand-crafted desserts, to be accompanied by a varied selection of wines from the Hawk’s View Winery near Myrtle Point, for “An Evening of Chocolate and Wine.” The event will include a silent auction, during which guests will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite full-size desserts paired with bottles of Hawk’s View wine.

This fabulous evening of chocolate, wine and the enchanting music of a string quartet from the Southwestern Music Department is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 9 at OCCI. Tickets are available for $30 individually or $50 for couples. Proceeds benefit OCCI Baking and Pastry Arts Club activities and trips.
