OCCI students to represent institute at competitionFive Oregon Coast Culinary Institute students will be representing the institute at a state level culinary competition in February. OCCI students Eric Brophy, Antom Strom, David Hutchenson, Kevin Kipling and Donna Hundley will be competing as a team against four other teams for a state championship on Feb. 3 at Western Culinary Institute in Portland. The competition starts with a skills session. Then the teams each will have 90 minutes to prepare four plates of four different courses to include a fish appetizer, salad, a classical chicken entrée and a dessert. The team is practicing for three hours every Saturday to hone its skills for the competition. Press Release Date: January 11, 2007
