Southwestern to offer Spanish course in Curry County

Southwestern Oregon Community College will be offering a Conversational Spanish course in Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings during Winter Term.

New and returning students will learn basic grammar and punctuation for everyday personal or on-the-job use in the 11-week class. Students will work independently and in groups with assistance from their instructor in an informal lab/lecture setting.

Classes will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. in Gold Beach with sessions for intermediate students on Mondays and beginners on Thursdays. Sessions also are scheduled from 6 to 7:50 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Port Orford Senior Center. The Brookings Center is offering three different Spanish class choices for Winter Term. The cost for the 11-week course is $96 for credit and $65 for personal interest.
