Southwestern Board seeks to fill Budget Committee

The Southwestern Oregon Community College Board of Education re-appointed two long-time Budget Committee members and began seeking applications for a third at its regular meeting on Monday night.

The Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the re-appointment of Doug Fletcher and Timm Slater, both North Bend residents. Fletcher has served on the Budget Committee for 10 years and Slater for seven. Their terms both run through 2010.

Along with the re-appointments the Board unanimously agreed to begin seeking applicants to fill the position vacated by Donna Nichols, of Coos Bay, who served on the Budget Committee three years.
