Southwestern offers weekend PowerPoint course

Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering a two-day intensive course on PowerPoint Presentations this weekend.

This one-credit class introduces intermediate to advanced features of presentation software for the efficient development of effective presentations. Using word-processing skills and presentation theories, students can enhance their skills to develop professional looking and effective presentations complete with outlines, speaker notes and audience handouts.

The class – which can be taken for college credit or audited for a reduced rate – is scheduled from 5 to 8:50 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, and from 9 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, with a lunch break.
