Southwestern sets interview skills course in Gold Beach

Southwestern Oregon Community College is planning an Interview Theory and Techniques course designed to provide students with the theoretical basics for effective interviewing techniques this spring in Gold Beach.

The course will place special emphasis on developing attending skills at the beginning level. Students also will participate extensively in classroom role-playing, as well as utilize audio tapes and video recording. While this course is designed specifically for the developing human services worker, students of other disciplines can benefit from participation, and multicultural examples will be included throughout the curriculum.

The 11-week course is scheduled from 6 to 8:50 p.m. on Mondays throughout Spring Term – which begins April 2 – at the Southwestern Gold Beach Center.
