Southwestern to offer Korean course this springSouthwestern Oregon Community College is offering a course in Korean language and Asian culture in Coos Bay during Spring Term. Instructor Gillim Kim is a native Korean speaker and will be teaching the “Korean Class with Asian Culture” course, which will cover Korean language – including the Korean alphabet, the art of calligraphy and practice conversations – as well as explore Asian culture and the spirit of Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Yin and Yang. Class is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 4 through June 13 on the Southwestern campus in Coos Bay.
