Italian cooking class set in Gold BeachSouthwestern Oregon Community College is offering a class in Curry County for those looking to add some variety to their home cooking and impress their friends with fresh-baked artisan breads and an Italian meal. Bea Nash will be leading a one-day cooking class in Gold Beach, where students will learn to make artisan, no knead breads that are easy and tasty, as well as an entire Italian meal. Class is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in the Oregon State University Curry County Extension Service office in Gold Beach. Cost of the class is $38. The menu will include pasta carciofi, rucola, salsiccia and pomodoro (pasta with artichokes, arugula, sausage and tomatoes); fagiolini verde con pomodori (green beans with tomatoes); Pane Artisano (artisan bread); and tiramisu e cicolato gelato (a “pick me up” cake and very chocolate ice cream).
