Southwestern plans Red Cross First Aid classes

Southwestern Oregon Community College will be hosting two American Red Cross First Aid and Safety classes this spring in Coos and Curry counties.

The class teaches easy-to-learn emergency procedures that prepare individuals to overcome reluctance to act in emergency situations. Participants will learn to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory, cardiac and First-Aid emergencies involving adults and children.

Class sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. on June 2 at the Southwestern Brookings Center and at the same time on June 9 at the Bandon Library. For more information, or to register, those interested can contact the American Red Cross at (800) 738-8700.
