ALSP offers training and enrichment courses

The Southwestern Oregon Community College Adult Learning Skills Program is offering a variety of professional development, language skills and enrichment courses this summer.

Students can learn about Computer Basics I from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Thursdays June 23 through July 31, and Computer Basics II from 8 to 10 a.m. on the same days June 23 through July 31.

Adult Basic Education courses are to be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday through Thursday of each week from June 23 through Aug. 14, and College Transitions is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through Thursday each week from Sept. 8 through 18.

Those whose first language is not English can improve their English skills in the English as a Second Language course, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday each week. An ESL class also is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
