Southwestern to offer ‘Pathways of Positive Parenting’

Southwestern Oregon Community College is partnering with Lincoln Elementary School in Coquille to present Pathways of Positive Parenting – an educational program designed for all parents funded by the Ford Family Foundation – this fall in Coquille.

The program consists of free family nights which include dinner, child care and opportunities to share parenting techniques and tools. Each event begins with a free dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by a parenting session from 6 to 8 p.m. with high-quality child care provided on-site for children 10 and younger.

Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, Sept. 23 and 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28; and Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25 at Lincoln Elementary School in Coquille. For more information or to register, those interested can call Lincoln Elementary School at 396-2811.
