Curry First Stop

The Testing Center is located at First Stop, providing placement testing, as well as test proctoring for students taking distance courses. Contact Curry First Stop to set up test proctoring. Students having exams proctored from outside universities or organizations will be charged a per term fee.

Financial Aid and Curry Campus Students

A representative from SWOCC’s Financial Aid department visits the Curry Campus and Gold Beach Center at least once a term. Financial Aid counselors area also available via phone from the Curry Campus.

In Curry County, SWOCC partners with Brookings-Harbor High School, Gold Beach High School and Pacific High School to offer students opportunities to obtain college credit while attending high school, and support students in getting to college.

College Now

SWOCC’s College Now program provides high school students the opportunity to earn college credits while fulfilling high school graduation requirements. These college level courses are offered free for students who meet academic requirements. Capable students have the opportunity to take transfer level college courses (Writing, Math, Science, etc.) while remaining in the high school setting. SWOCC has agreements in Curry with Brookings-Harbor High School, Gold Beach High School and Pacific High School.

Educational Talent Search (ETS)

Talent Search is an educational access and retention program sponsored by Southwestern Oregon Community College and funded through the U.S. Department of Education.
Our purpose is to identify, motivate, and assist middle through high school students in their educational transitions. We assist and encourage students to stay in school and graduate, and enroll in a community college, university, or technical training program.
