Coos Campus Testing Center
The Coos Campus Testing Center is located in Coos Bay at 1988 Newmark Ave. It is on the first floor of Stensland Hall, next to the Campus Store.
Tests are by appointment only. Actual testing hours vary each term.
This center provides the community with secure, accessible, and professional testing services for:
- Accuplacer Placement Assessment
- National Testing Network (NTN) testing which includes Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Adult Corrections, Juvenile Corrections, and Emergency Communications
- Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Certification Exams
- PearsonVue testing which includes professional program licensing and GED testing
- Proctoring services available for make-up and accommodations exams for in-person courses
- Prometric (Automotive Service Excellence-ASE)
- Test proctoring services for students attending other colleges
Curry Campus Testing Center
The Curry Campus Testing Center is adjacent to the Student Success Center on Southwestern’s Curry Campus in Brookings, Oregon (96082 Lone Ranch Parkway).

This center offers testing services to help support student learning and serve the community. This includes:
- Accuplacer Placement Assessment
- Computer/online exams and quizzes
- Ability to proctor exams on paper
- Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Certification Exams
- Proctoring services available for make-up and accommodations exams for in-person courses
- Test proctoring services for students attending other colleges (a small proctoring fee may apply)

Online Course Exam: If you are a current Southwestern student taking an online course, simply go to Canvas and follow the steps to access Honorlock online proctoring service.
- Any other type of exam: Our Testing Centers are able to proctor exams for current Southwestern students needing make-up or Accommodations exams for in-person courses. We also offer proctoring services for students attending other colleges. Make an appointment in advance with the appropriate location (Coos Campus or Curry Campus).
Q: How do I schedule professional testing services or exams?

Q: Do I need to bring photo ID?
- Yes! VALID PHOTO ID is required for all assessment services.
Q: What should I NOT bring with me?
- No food, drink, cell phones, smart watches, computer tablets or bags of any type allowed in the Testing Centers. Proctors will collect any personal belongings and store them in a safe space.
- No children allowed within the centers, and no unattended children are allowed to wait outside the center.
- All electronic devices must be turned off.
Q: Is there a fee to take a placement test?
- Placement testing is free for Southwestern students.
Q: How do students attending other colleges arrange for test proctoring services?
- Students will need to arrange with their current institution to allow a Southwestern Testing Center to proctor their exam.
- Make an appointment in advance with the appropriate location (Coos Campus or Curry Campus).
- Agree to follow the guidelines of the Testing Center.
- Present photo ID.
